Singaporeans, look around us. How lucky are we right now? Amidst the blessings that we are showered upon, are we really thankful to The One who gave them all to us?

Singapore is celebrating her 49th birthday. All thanks to Allah, it has been a prosperous 49 years. We may have had problems in the past, but look at where we stand today.

In this little red dot, we are able to maintain racial and religious harmony throughout the years. This is a really great blessing that we must not take for granted.

Recently, we have seen countries like Palestine being attacked and people fighting for basic rights and the rights of their own land. We have also heard of the people in Uyghur who were prohibited from practising Islam in their own their country by the higher authorities. Our prayers are always with them with hopes and confidence that Allah will always be on their side.

Let’s be thankful and continue to improve our understanding of other races and religions and keep building healthy relationships with our fellow Singaporeans.
May Allah guide us all and bless this country.
